We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team at Chertsey Nursery School.
We are looking to recruit a Caretaker / Handyman who will play a crucial role to safeguard our children.
As a Caretaker / Handyman, you will be expected to:-
- Carry out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs
- Have keyholder responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with senior leaders to ensure projects are completed on time
- Ensure the building and grounds are secure
- To ensure the school is fully compliant with health and safety requirements for the premises including maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate and liaise with contractors as directed by SLT
- Undertake basic grounds maintenance and gardening tasks as required.
- To be fully aware and comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and COSHH procedures and responsibilities. Training will be provided if necessary.
7.5 hours per week. (Flexible hours depending on candidate)
42-week contract.
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Surrey Pay Scale S4 FTE £21,103 pro rata
